Military Warriors Support Foundation July 2019

The Military Warriors Support Foundation earlier this month hosted three combat-wounded veterans and their families for five days of relaxation at Patriot Point. Two of the veterans were women.

“They had a blast,” said Marlene Rodriguez, MWSF Skills4life Program Coordinator, who served 10 years in the Army herself and is a Purple Heart Recipient. “We did some fishing, kayaking, crabbing and just hanging out on the beach. All in all it was a great trip.”

Rodriguez said the trip was especially relaxing because they could do activities and go to the beach without worrying about crowds.

“They told me that when you go to a public beach, it’s so hard to relax with all the people around,” Rodriguez said.
